Bryony’s passion for Pilates began during her first pregnancy, when she had a number of complications including a bad back. Regular Pilates lessons helped her to become more body aware, stronger, more flexible and most importantly injury-free.
Her enthusiasm inspired her to train as a Body Control Pilates instructor in 2020 and her classes have a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. She has a range of interests, including back care and back pain and is undertaking further studies to teach clients with bone health issues. She is also qualified to teach Level 3 Pregnancy and Postnatal Pilates.
Monthly Sound Baths
Yoga teacher Naomi Hurst is passionate about the benefits of Sound. She offers small intimate Sound Baths every month at Studio Yoga. A sound bath is a self-guided meditation aided by soothing sounds from a number of deeply melodic instruments. This could include crystal singing bowls, symphonic gongs, wind chimes, rain sticks and other percussion instruments. There is no movement, but we recommend participants lie on their backs to absorb the vibrations fully through their body as well as their ears.
Naomi is a registered Yoga Alliance Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga teacher. She has practised yoga for over a decade and completed her 200 and 300 hours Ashtanga teacher qualifications in Mysore, India. Her Yin qualification was completed with Bernie Clarke and Diana Batts. She hopes she can help you find what you’re looking for in Yoga, whether that be soothing relaxation, increased strength and flexibility or a good cardiovascular workout. Above all Naomi’s classes are lead from the heart.
