Studio Yoga is going online

Dear Studio Yoga Friends

In line with the latest government advice we’ve stopped all our classes from March 20.

But we wanted to tell you we’re putting together a package of online classes for you to do at home until we can get together again.

These will include Yoga practices, Pranayama sessions, guided relaxations and meditations, Barre and Pilates workouts that you can do at home.

For anyone who’s paid for a course of classes this term, these will cover your remaining sessions (you will be emailed a link and password to view them). Drop-in students will be able to access them through the website. We’ll have the first classes ready for you by the end of March and more will be added over the coming days, so keep an eye on your inbox.

The pressure on local broadband with everyone working and home-schooling online is making it hard to upload our content, so bear with us and we’ll get it to you as soon as we can.

From April 20 we’ll continue to run video and live streaming classes for everyone who’s enrolled for the summer term, until normal service is resumed.

Exercise is vital for all of us to keep us fit and well, mentally and physically over this period and we want to do as much as we can to help you.

Tamsin is also teaching private classes online using Skype, FaceTime or Zoom. She’s qualified to teach children as well as adults so these sessions can be tailored for individuals or family groups.  Please email for details.

This is a particularly challenging and stressful time for us all and we are so appreciative of the many messages of support we’ve received from our students. We’re all in this together.

Please keep in contact: we’ve lots of ideas of ways to keep the Studio Yoga community engaged through this period.
Some students have suggested a Studio Yoga WhatsApp group to help us stay connected so if you’d like to join please let me know. Otherwise follow us on Facebook or Instagram and share your home practice pictures. We are social animals and I’m worried about loneliness creating additional anxiety during this period. If you just want to chat please call during daytime office hours (Monday – Friday 9.00am-6.00pm) I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to pick up, but if you leave me a message I will call you back.
