If you can’t wait to get back to class the good news is gyms and leisure centres should be allowed to re-open from April 12. At Studio Yoga we’re thrilled to be welcoming back students soon. 1:1 classes available in April and group classes from May 17.
Private tuition with Tamsin Kelly or Jo Dowey (individuals or family groups only) can now be booked for sessions from April 19 onwards. If you are new to yoga or haven’t practised for a while, a 1:1 session is the best way to get to grips with the basics and for the teacher to assess your individual needs. They are also highly recommended for experienced students wanting to develop a personal practice tailored to their needs. Book a private class here or email email@example.com to arrange a time to suit you.
Meanwhile group yoga and Pilates classes will continue online into the summer. Buy a Class Pass and enjoy four weeks of unlimited online classes with Tamsin from April 19 for just £40 with access to live-streamed sessions on Zoom and pre-recorded classes. You can get your Class Pass here.
Indoor group exercise is permitted from May 17 under stage three of the government’s roadmap, and we plan to resume in person classes from that date. Online yoga sessions will also continue with Zoom Hatha, Gentle and Iyengar yoga. We hope to expand the range of classes on offer over the next few weeks. Keep checking the website and our social media for updates.
We’re planning to enjoy some more yoga outdoors again this summer, with more classes in the beautiful riverside garden at The Greyhound later in the spring once the weather warms up. Tamsin is also offering yoga in your garden again for those living in Stockbridge or close by. Outdoor mixing of up to six people is permitted from March 29. Do get in touch if you’re interested.
Back at the studio we’ve been carrying out improvements during the lockdowns, installing a new door and windows and re-decorating, so everything will be smart, clean and fresh for your return.
We’re still awaiting government advice on any social distancing restrictions. Until all limitations are lifted we continue to ask everyone to provide their own mats and equipment which you can buy from us at the Studio or online sites such as Yoga Matters or Yoga Mad.
